
Molecular Oncology Specialist – Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Design and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue objectives for Agendia's oncology products and services, including MammaPrint and BluePrint.
• Identify, engage, educate, and oversee accounts of hospitals, pathology groups, oncologists, and surgeons in Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and a small segment of Southern Delaware.
• Evaluate territory-specific prescribing and purchasing decision-making processes and how they differ from national trends.
• Drive new business in oncology, maintain client relationships, and surpass sales goals.
• Meet sales forecasts and targets consistently.
• Organize and conduct meetings for the exchange of medical and product information while adhering to company, regulatory, and legal standards.
• Represent Agendia at industry trade shows, company gatherings, training sessions, and other events.
• Adjust call plans and business strategies to align with evolving work environments and objectives.
• Identify pivotal physicians, healthcare providers, and organizations within the territory.
• Concentrate sales efforts on high-revenue and high-volume prospects, particularly in community-based oncology and surgical practices.
• Support the company’s sales strategy and promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
• Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders.
• Relay business opportunities and challenges to the Regional Sales Director.
• Maintain customer and target databases using SFDC/Salesforce.
• Present insights at quarterly sales meetings.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on regional trends, competitive threats, and emerging testing opportunities.
• Adhere to Agendia’s health, safety, ethical, regulatory, and company policies.
• Reside in and travel independently within the designated territory.
• Accurately complete expense reports, call reports, communications, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Provide orientation guidance on test reports at the request of clinicians, without making specific management or treatment recommendations for patients.
• Report directly to the Regional Sales Director and work collaboratively with all departments.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales within diagnostic, oncology, lab services, pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a related sector.
• Advanced understanding of concepts and practices, with the capability to apply them in various business contexts.
• Proven experience in developing and executing achievable business plans.
• Ability to forge relationships with physicians, thought leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
• A demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding financial, quantitative targets, and qualitative objectives.
• Effective and professional communication skills with organizational members, customers, and external contacts.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays and participate in some weekend programs.
• Capability to translate scientific product information, competitor insights, scientific knowledge, and market conditions to oncology customers.
• Must reside within the designated territory/geography.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds without assistance.
• Proficient in working on a computer for approximately 6–8 hours daily.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Must not be an individual excluded from participation in any Federal health care program.
• Competitive starting compensation of $250,000, which includes base salary and commission.
• Annual salary range of $130,000–$165,000.
• Coverage of travel expenses and territory travel as needed.
