This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the evolution of the Mojo LLDB-based debugger from a prototype to a fully developed tool.

• Focus on interactive debugging, integration with IDEs, debug information formats, expression evaluators, and various components that enhance the debugging experience.

• Possibility of contributing to GPU debugging, agentic debugging, debugger MCP, profiling support, and other innovative features.

• Establish the roadmap for the Mojo debugger and associated tools.

• Collaborate with the developer relations and Mojo compiler teams.

• Engage with the Mojo developer community, discuss features, gather use cases, and guide open-source contributors.

• Primarily contribute to open-source initiatives that are visible to the global community.

⛳️ Requirements

• Essential: experience with the internals of the LLDB debugger, including maintenance, porting, or extending functionality for a new programming language.

• Highly advantageous: experience working with community or developer relations teams.

• Highly advantageous: a track record of contributions to other development tools or projects.

• Self-driven and able to navigate uncertainty.

• Ability to understand developer experience and differentiate between critical priorities and nice-to-have features.

• Willingness to engage deeply with systems programming.

• Familiarity with debuggers, linkers, compilers, and other development tools.

• Candidates must reside in the United States.

• New employees are required to complete onboarding in person at the Los Altos, CA office.
