This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Perform on-site inspections of vehicle conditions for dealer clients within a designated area.

• Safely locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer client lots.

• Confirm vehicle identification, including VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately input data into systems.

• Assess and document both the exterior and interior condition of vehicles, covering aspects such as tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options.

• Execute basic mechanical checks on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.

• Identify and document any damages, missing parts, or non-functioning features.

• Establish trust and foster strong relationships with dealer clients.

• Provide education to clients regarding Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services.

• Engage with dealers to boost inspection volume and maintain participation levels.

• Utilize data, insights, and partner feedback to enhance inspection efficiency and optimize territory productivity.

• Adjust to changes in daily appointments and schedules to ensure adequate dealer coverage.

• Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports.

• Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and tracking customer performance.

• Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, colleagues, and other Manheim teams.

• Contribute to ongoing improvement and Lean process enhancements.

• Adhere to production expectations and comply with safety and health protocols.

• Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives.

• Follow Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Level 1: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus over 3 years of experience in a relevant field; other qualifications include any degree or certification beyond a high school diploma/GED or 5 years of experience in a related area.

• Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of experience in a relevant field; alternatives include any degree or certification beyond a high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience, or 7 years of experience in a related field.

• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.

• Capability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position within specified timeframes.

• Senior Level: Previous experience in vehicle inspection is required.

• Senior Level: Strong knowledge of automotive systems (body and mechanical) is necessary.

• Pre-employment drug test is required; there is no marijuana testing currently for this position.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

• No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship available presently or in the future.

• Minimal automotive knowledge is preferred for Level 1.

• 0–1 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 1.

• 1–2 years of automotive-related experience is preferred for Level 2.

• 2–3 years of automotive-related experience is strongly preferred for Senior Level.

• At least 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections is recommended for Senior Level.
