Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop new functionalities for iHerb's iOS and/or Android applications utilizing AI-driven development tools.

• Engage in mobile modernization initiatives, aiding in enhancements to app architecture and the introduction of new platform capabilities.

• Create maintainable and thoroughly tested mobile code, taking ownership of features from design specifications to app store publication.

• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to seamlessly integrate new APIs and enhance product experiences.

• Utilize Claude Code or similar AI tools on a daily basis for code generation, refactoring, and test automation.

• Contribute to cross-platform tools and shared component libraries.

• Provide support for features across mobile and other stack layers as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android.

• Proven experience in deploying applications to the App Store and/or Google Play.

• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns, such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.

• Practical experience in deploying production code using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor; daily use is essential.

• Familiarity with .NET/C#, Go, Python, Java, React, MS SQL Server, Azure, or AWS.

• Ability to contribute across various layers of the stack; candidates who specialize in a single area are not the target profile.

• Experience in managing features from end-to-end, from specification to deployment and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience (D3 level).

• Proficient in advanced English.
