Mission Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily calculations for orbit determination and assist with orbit raising activities for both new and existing Low Earth Orbit satellites.

• Aid in the formation and upkeep of the satellite constellation.

• Execute orbit determination, propagation, and analysis leveraging mathematical models.

• Utilize AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK), including ODTK, for modeling, analyzing, and simulating orbital trajectories.

• Produce daily orbital data for satellite communications.

• Engage in maneuver planning, which includes orbit raising and station-keeping tasks.

• Provide support for launch operations.

• Offer 24/7 on-call assistance for troubleshooting and resolving anomalies.

• Assist in the development of Python and MATLAB scripts to streamline orbital analysis processes.

• Adhere to job-related directives and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Physics, or a closely related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in satellite operations, orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, or spacecraft flight dynamics.

• More than 5 years of general satellite knowledge encompassing components, mass properties, satellite attitude, and propulsion systems.

• Proficiency in Orbit Mechanics/Dynamics, orbit determination, ephemeris generation, and maneuver planning.

• Experience in developing and maintaining STK and ODTK utilizing Python.

• Must qualify as a U.S. person as defined by 15 C.F.R. § 772.1 (U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or protected individual).

• Capability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to meet various deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

• Skill in managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks.

• Ability to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Familiarity with NetSuite.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Competence in identifying and seeking necessary information.
