Military Advisor – Operations, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Provide advisory support to military personnel of the U.S. and allied forces operating in the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).

• Assist in mission planning, operational execution, and conducting strategic assessments.

• Mentor and guide senior military leaders on command and staff operations.

• Advise on the efficient use of resources, personnel, and equipment to accomplish mission goals.

• Deliver training and instruction regarding military doctrine, strategy, and operations.

• Collaborate with interagency and multinational teams to improve operational coordination.

• Support the creation and implementation of military exercises, engagements, and operational initiatives.

• Conduct assessments, briefings, and after-action reviews.

• Maintain situational awareness of the regional security landscape.

• Provide timely insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Execute additional duties as assigned or required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 13 years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in military operations, with a strong background in advising, mentoring, and training military personnel.

• Experience working in the INDOPACOM AOR.

• Instructor experience in delivering complex military concepts to diverse audiences.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Capacity to communicate effectively in high-stress situations, both verbally and in writing.

• Willingness to deploy up to 50% of the time.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

• Graduation from the United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) is preferred.

• Experience within a U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Unit is preferred.

• Experience deploying to the INDOPACOM AOR is preferred.

• Proficiency in any languages spoken in the INDOPACOM regions is preferred.

• Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is highly desirable.
