This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Deliver designated middle school science curriculum content in a virtual setting.
• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, support, and guidance.
• Tailor and differentiate learning experiences based on students' mastery levels.
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Establish and nurture positive relationships with students, families, and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Enhance course content with approved synchronous and asynchronous tools.
• Travel approximately once a month and/or up to 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and school events.
• Collaborate with administrators, coaches, teacher trainers, and fellow educators to promote student outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active teaching license from the state.
• Oklahoma Elementary OR Science Certification is mandatory.
• Candidate must reside in Oklahoma.
• Ability to pass the necessary background check.
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during working hours.
• Availability to work during school-defined hours, generally 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM.
• Experience with the specified age group is essential.
• Experience in supporting both adults and children with technology use.
• Background in teaching in an online/virtual or brick-and-mortar environment.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms is required.
• Capability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
