This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide immersive and interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Tailor learning experiences to meet the individual needs of all students.
• Differentiate instruction according to each student's mastery level.
• Enhance course content utilizing approved synchronous and asynchronous tools.
• Manage the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators regarding concerns related to student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for important standardized tests.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents and provide timely responses.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Track student progress via Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Travel for professional development, student testing, and other school obligations.
• Valid state Department of Education Middle School (5-8) English Teaching Certification is required.
• This position is virtual and available to residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Active state teaching license is necessary.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Capability to work independently, generally exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Must maintain a professional home office free from distractions during working hours.
• Must be able to work during the school’s standard schedule, typically from 9-5 or 8-4.
• Travel is required as needed, approximately once a month and/or about 20% of the time.
• Experience working with the specified age group is essential.
• Experience in supporting both adults and children in utilizing technology is required.
• Familiarity with teaching online and/or in a traditional classroom setting is necessary.
• Experience with online learning platforms is needed.
• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is essential.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Must maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and demonstrate fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
