Senior Developer Success Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical authority for Temporal's developer community.

• Assist users in deploying and scaling Temporal within cloud-native settings.

• Diagnose intricate infrastructure challenges and enhance performance.

• Create automation solutions for infrastructure management.

• Collaborate with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, microservices, container orchestration, networking, and observability.

• Resolve infrastructure issues directly with developers to boost cloud performance and reliability.

• Design observability solutions utilizing Grafana and Prometheus.

• Enhance networking aspects, including load balancing, DNS, and ingress/egress.

• Automate infrastructure operations through Terraform and infrastructure as code.

• Proactively lead technical solutions for production challenges and infrastructure best practices.

• Collaborate with developers, engineering, and product teams to identify infrastructure obstacles and deliver solutions.

• Advocate for platform enhancements, observability tools, and self-service diagnostic infrastructure solutions.

• Connect developers with infrastructure teams as Temporal expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience as a developer.

• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Golang, or TypeScript.

• Experience in deploying and managing medium to large-scale architectures, including Kubernetes or Docker.

• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting performance and availability issues.

• At least one year of experience in a customer-facing role, either internal or external.

• Experience working with or as part of remote teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in security certificate management and implementation is a plus.

• Ability to comprehend use cases and translate them into Temporal design decisions and architecture best practices is a plus.

• Familiarity with EKS, GKE, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTracing, Terraform, Ansible, or CDK is a plus.
