Mid-Level Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Design, test, implement, and maintain applications, automation, and integrations utilizing Python, JavaScript, Google Apps Script, SQL, APIs, and contemporary web frameworks.

• Collaborate with government stakeholders and senior developers to grasp requirements, quickly create functional versions, and enhance them based on user feedback.

• Develop data-driven tools, dashboards, and interfaces that simplify complex information for users.

• Deliver results in short Agile sprints, encompassing testing, user acceptance, production support, and updates to existing tools.

• Assume ownership of assigned tasks throughout the production process.

• Proactively identify and communicate risks and obstacles.

• Maintain documentation of code to enable others to support and expand upon it.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of software development experience.

• Proficient in front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and databases.

• Strong skills in Python, JavaScript, and SQL.

• Practical experience developing with Google Workspace and Google Apps Script.

• Familiarity with version control, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting production issues.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Must qualify for and maintain federal suitability, a government-issued PIV credential, and necessary system access.

• Experience with CI/CD and cloud deployment is a plus.

• Experience in integrating AI or workflow automation into applications is advantageous.

• Knowledge of federal requirements such as Section 508 accessibility is a plus.
