Mid-Level SOC Analyst – Night Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee and evaluate security alerts and events

• Examine suspicious activities and potential incidents to determine their root causes

• Assess logs from Windows and Linux systems, networks, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and databases

• Conduct network traffic analysis utilizing tools such as Wireshark and TCPDump

• Aid in incident response by adhering to established protocols and procedures

• Document investigations and ensure a clear and organized shift handover

• Leverage the MITRE ATT&CK framework to assist in threat identification and analysis

• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of SOC processes and protocols

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed or in-progress higher education in Information Security, Cyber Defense, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline

• Familiarity with log and security event analysis in both Windows and Linux environments

• Understanding of networks, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and traffic analysis

• Basic knowledge of databases and audit log examination

• Capability to work a 12-on/36-off shift pattern, including night shifts

• Prior experience in a SOC, security monitoring, or incident response roles

• Knowledge of or hands-on experience with Sophos solutions and cloud environments

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, Cisco CyberOps Associate, Blue Team Level 1, OCI, AZ-900, or SC-900
