Mid-Level Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance data systems and pipelines that support AI/ML applications for a Navy IT command.

• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and technical teams to guarantee scalable and dependable data processing.

• Assist in machine learning deployment and improve mission-critical operations.

• Elevate data quality, adhere to security protocols, and enhance data workflows throughout the client's IT ecosystem.

• Examine use cases and high-level requirements to establish detailed data solution specifications.

• Review and refine enterprise metrics and business rules with stakeholders; identify associated data requirements and sources.

• Create and update data architectures/models, data standards, transformations, and integrations.

• Design, construct, publish, refresh, and maintain reference materials for analysts and other stakeholders.

• Develop and implement modern software solutions to facilitate automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting corporate operations through data management and analysis.

• At least 3 years of experience in data management, data analysis, and data visualization.

• 3 years of Business Intelligence experience in designing dashboards, reporting solutions, and integrations using the QLIK Advana reporting suite.

• Proficiency in designing various data visualization techniques and selecting suitable visuals for different audiences.

• Experience in project planning, providing timeline/milestone suggestions, identifying risks, collaborating across functions, conducting spreadsheet-based analytical modeling, and communicating with stakeholders.

• Technical expertise in Python, SQL, data modeling, APIs, and data architecture.

• Familiarity and skills with AI libraries.

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Business Intelligence, Business Administration or Finance, Statistics, or Management Information Systems.

• Must fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information and be subject to a government security investigation.
