Mid-level Android Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain functionalities in a native Kotlin application utilizing Jetpack Compose along with the internal design framework.

• Transition legacy XML interfaces to Compose.

• Execute asynchronous processes such as background uploads during multi-step forms.

• Serve as the Android developer within a cross-functional feature team, overseeing everything from technical design to release and monitoring.

• Engage in code and design evaluations.

• Provide support to colleagues within the Android chapter.

• Integrate AI coding tools into the daily workflow and rigorously assess every output prior to submission.

⛳️ Requirements

• Willingness to operate within the Italian time zone with full overlap.

• Over 3 years of experience in native Android development with Kotlin, focusing primarily on native Android in recent years.

• At least 2 years of practical experience with Jetpack Compose.

• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming utilizing Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.

• Familiarity with dependency injection through Hilt.

• Awareness of clean code principles and architectural patterns, with at least a conceptual grasp of MVI.

• Experience with consuming REST APIs.

• Regular use of AI coding tools (such as Claude, Codex, or similar), with the capability to explain and validate the generated code.

• Proficient communication skills in English.
