Mid-Level Analyst, Data Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Map the lifecycle of personal data, determining what data is collected, utilized, stored, shared, and ultimately disposed of.

• Identify the storage locations of personal data, who has access to it, and how it is processed across various processes and departments.

• Assist in the assessment and management of privacy and data protection risks.

• Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs/RIPDs).

• Aid in the development, review, and updating of privacy policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.

• Provide guidance to departments such as IT, HR, Marketing, and other business units on data protection best practices.

• Support the creation and review of terms, privacy notices, and documents pertinent to the processing of personal data.

• Manage and track data subject requests.

• Foster collaboration with internal departments and, when necessary, with regulatory authorities.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing processes associated with privacy and data protection.

• Promote awareness initiatives and training focused on privacy and data protection.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience in Data Protection, Privacy, or Compliance.

• Familiarity with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and its essential concepts and requirements.

• Understanding of best practices and concepts related to the GDPR is advantageous.

• Experience in mapping processes and personal data.

• Knowledge of privacy-related risk management.

• Understanding of Information Security and Cybersecurity principles.

• Experience in developing and reviewing privacy policies, procedures, and documents.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with various departments throughout the organization.

• Experience with DPIAs/RIPDs.

• Relevant certifications or coursework in Privacy and Data Protection.

• Experience with GRC, Privacy Management, or Data Mapping tools.

• Knowledge of Information Security, ISO 27001, and/or ISO 27701.

• Experience working in large organizations or regulated environments.
