This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of state authorization applications, renewals, annual reports, and associated filings.
• Conduct research and monitor state regulatory requirements that impact academic programs and distance education.
• Create regulatory narratives, reports, analyses, and responses for state agencies and institutional leadership.
• Establish and maintain compliance calendars, tracking systems, and documentation repositories.
• Assist in ensuring institutional readiness for state authorization, regulatory reviews, and possible participation in NC-SARA.
• Support accreditation-related reporting, documentation, substantive change processes, and evidence gathering.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative stakeholders to collect, verify, and organize information for regulatory and accreditation submissions.
• Recognize emerging compliance risks and propose practical solutions.
• Cultivate and sustain productive relationships with state agencies, accreditors, and other external partners.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in higher education administration, academic affairs, compliance, accreditation, institutional effectiveness, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, or a related field.
• Proven experience in preparing complex written reports, regulatory submissions, accreditation documentation, policy analyses, grant proposals, or similar high-stakes materials.
• Exceptional written communication, editing, and analytical abilities.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Capacity to interpret complex requirements and convey them clearly to diverse audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment utilizing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• A master's degree in Higher Education, Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Law, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with state authorization compliance and distance education regulations is preferred.
• Familiarity with the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) is preferred.
• Experience in supporting accreditation reviews, self-studies, substantive change applications, or annual reporting processes is preferred.
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies, accreditors, licensing boards, or governmental organizations is preferred.
• Experience providing support for professional licensure disclosures is preferred.
