Mid GCP DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, which includes Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and networking services.

• Develop and sustain Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform.

• Construct and enhance CI/CD pipelines through Cloud Build and various automation tools.

• Apply containerization techniques with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve performance issues related to both infrastructure and applications.

• Establish and uphold logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.

• Collaborate with development teams to refine application deployment strategies and optimize cloud resource usage.

• Enforce security best practices and compliance standards across cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and runbooks.

• Participate in an on-call rotation for incident response and resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or systems administration roles.

• Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

• Comprehensive understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and command-line tools.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities for analyzing complex technical issues.

• Strong communication and collaborative skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Bash, or Go.

• Preferred: experience with multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud architectures.

• Preferred: understanding of DevOps methodologies and agile practices.

• Preferred: relevant cloud certifications, such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer.
