Microsoft Dynamics BC Techno Functional Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Convert business needs into functional specifications and technical design documentation.

• Set up standard functionalities in Business Central, covering General Ledger, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Warehouse Management.

• Design, develop, and implement custom extensions and modifications using AL and Visual Studio Code.

• Generate and adjust both standard and custom reports utilizing RDLC and Word layouts.

• Create and sustain integrations between Business Central and third-party applications such as CRM, e-commerce, banking, and payroll through APIs, OData, and web services.

• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and assist in user acceptance testing.

• Oversee data migration tasks, including extraction, transformation, and loading from legacy systems.

• Deliver end-user training and produce documentation for new processes and customizations.

• Offer post-go-live support, resolve production issues, and conduct root cause analysis.

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and functional consultants to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.

• Remain updated on Business Central enhancements, features, best practices, and the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Techno-Functional Consultant or Engineer for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.

• Strong expertise in AL language development for Business Central extensions.

• Comprehensive functional knowledge of essential Business Central modules, including Financial Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.

• Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques, such as RapidStart and Configuration Packages.

• Proficient in integrating Business Central with external systems using REST APIs, OData, and SOAP web services.

• Solid grasp of the Microsoft Power Platform, encompassing Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps, along with its integration with Business Central.

• Experience with PowerShell for automation tasks.

• Ability to work within CET ± 3 hours.
