Transmission Line Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create designs for both overhead and underground transmission systems utilizing PLS-CADD.

• Ensure adherence to NESC, ASCE, and ACI standards.

• Lead initiatives focusing on capacity enhancements, renewable energy integration, and grid fortification.

• Transition projects from initial routing and engineering analysis to material procurement and ready-for-construction packages.

• Utilize PLS-TOWER, LPILE, and FAD modeling techniques to address site-specific challenges.

• Develop intricate foundation designs and execute voltage conversions.

• Guide junior engineers while holding Senior/Lead positions.

• Manage client interactions in Senior/Lead roles.

• Direct multi-disciplinary teams towards successful project completion in Senior/Lead capacities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• Previous relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Expert or working knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.

• Familiarity with NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE codes.

• Capability to convey complex engineering ideas into clear project scopes and client presentations.

• EIT certification is preferred.

• A collaborative team player.

• Experience in design and analysis.

• Experience with LPILE, FAD Tools, Mathcad, or AutoCAD is advantageous.

• Practical experience in Construction Management or Field Support is a bonus.

• Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise is a bonus.
