This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Mentor approximately 10 pods, assisting around 20 fellows from 8 to 12 host organizations, starting from pre-Basecamp until the final day.
β’ Evaluate every fellow's pull request and offer structured written feedback on PRs, roadmap drafts, architecture proposals, and QBR deliverables.
β’ Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with fellows and document their progress, challenges, and achievements.
β’ Facilitate milestone reviews at Day 30/90/180/270 and provide fellow-level synthesis to the Senior Manager of AI Practice.
β’ Create just-in-time curriculum modules and develop lane- or pod-specific content when requested.
β’ Organize and debrief cohort-wide all-hands and instructional sessions.
β’ Co-facilitate the Basecamp practical assessment alongside Anthropic instructors.
β’ Identify recurring issues and escalate them to the appropriate leadership, curriculum, partner expert, host organization, or management owner.
β’ Serve as the primary escalation point when a fellow's technical work faces risks.
β’ Utilize Claude for code review, pattern identification, and scalable feedback.
β’ Highlight cohort-wide technical trends and ensure that reviews are completed and documented.
β’ 2 to 4 years of experience in professional software engineering within a real team environment.
β’ Proven experience in coaching or mentoring, whether formal or informal.
β’ Proficient in reviewing pull requests in unfamiliar technology stacks and delivering specific, actionable feedback.
β’ Experience in producing work with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to articulate how the workflow has evolved.
β’ Comfortable working as a generalist coach and quickly finding answers or connecting with the right experts.
β’ Excellent written communication skills.
β’ Ability to manage remote, synchronous commitments across US time zones, including approximately two evenings per month for cohort sessions and milestone reviews.
β’ Preferred: Experience as a TA, bootcamp coach, fellowship mentor, or instructor within a cohort program.
β’ Preferred: Background in a small or resourceful organization that translates business context into technical decisions.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with at least two areas among web full-stack, data/AI engineering, ML, and infrastructure/devops.
