This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-informed mental health therapy to children, adolescents, and adults via a secure virtual platform.
• Collaborate remotely with clinical leadership, psychiatrists, PMHNPs, primary care physicians, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform thorough assessments of behavioral, emotional, and mental health requirements.
• Create tailored treatment plans that align with client objectives.
• Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy using methodologies such as CBT and DBT.
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Communicate treatment strategies, progress, and recommendations with clients, families, and stakeholders.
• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress.
• Formulate safety plans and strategies to prevent or alleviate crises.
• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.
• Maintain a consistent patient load in alignment with contracted hours and organizational access requirements.
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline.
• Valid independent clinical licensure in at least one of Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing therapy to youth, adults, and individuals facing behavioral health challenges.
• Experience treating patients aged 13 and older.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Experience in delivering telehealth services.
• Willingness to pursue licensure in additional states is preferred.
• Experience with specialized populations or treatment areas such as trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, or grief and loss is preferred.
• Familiarity with Athena One EHR and electronic health record documentation standards is preferred.
