Mental Health Group Facilitator, MD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Fulfill all onboarding requirements within two weeks of commencement.

• Conduct monthly meetings with the designated Group Quality Supervisor or Group Quality Director.

• Respond to email and Slack communications promptly within 48 hours.

• Review the assigned curriculum prior to group sessions.

• Arrive approximately 10 minutes early to facilitate each scheduled group for the entire hour.

• Lead groups adhering to Charlie Health's best practices and the current assigned curriculum.

• Facilitate groups across various age demographics and cohorts, including Integrative curriculum, Support Staffing, and Wellness Hour as required.

• Promote client engagement, group cohesion, participation, and a culture of keeping cameras on.

• Adhere to operational policies and procedures.

• Engage in weekly collaborative Treatment Team meetings and biweekly Group Supervision sessions.

• Collaborate with Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, Care Coaches, peers, and clinical leadership.

• Maintain professional communication with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents.

• Complete treatment documentation within 24 hours, meeting DHCS and The Joint Commission standards.

• Uphold professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in mental health or a related field is required.

• Acceptable degrees include M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, M.A. in Counseling Psychology, M.S.W. with a Mental Health concentration, M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, M.A. in Clinical Psychology, M.S. in School Counseling, M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling, M.S. in Applied Developmental Psychology, M.A. in Education with behavioral health experience, or Ed.M. with behavioral health experience.

• Experience working with youth and young adults is necessary.

• Proficiency in various treatment modalities; experience with DBT, CBT, and EMDR; MI certification is an advantage.

• Expertise in conducting group treatment and a strong passion for group therapy.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Creative and engaging presence over video platforms.

• Technical capability to conduct effective telehealth sessions.

• Reliable WIFI connection is essential.

• Familiarity with Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox, EMR, and outcomes survey software.

• Availability for weekday late afternoons/evenings, from 3–8pm MT Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays.

• This is a part-time 1099 position.

• Completion of state background checks for client clearance is mandatory.
