This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Confirm patient insurance following check-in and ensure precise insurance documentation is maintained.
• Analyze denied claims, determine reasons for denial, assist with the reprocessing of claims, and follow up on any missing information.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents and address any EOB backlogs.
• Address outstanding insurance balances and resolve patient account issues.
• Facilitate claims workflows, encompassing Cigna and Veterans Affairs claims.
• Manage vendor payments, including issuing checks when necessary.
• Oversee the completion, accuracy, and compliance of SOAP notes.
• Monitor missed and canceled appointments while identifying scheduling trends.
• Generate reports regarding balances, appointments, EOB backlogs, denied claims, and other operational metrics.
• Deliver clear insights and actionable recommendations within reports.
• Coordinate communication among the provider, care team, and administrative staff.
• Identify gaps in workflows, billing issues, documentation delays, scheduling challenges, and patient account problems.
• Propose practical solutions to enhance clinic efficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience in supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Proficient in insurance verification, EOBs, claims management, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Excellent English communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
• Strong executive presence and a professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership, ownership, or accountability in a previous role.
• Proactive and able to foresee needs before being prompted.
• Highly detail-oriented concerning billing, documentation, and reporting tasks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Emotionally intelligent and patient while working with a busy provider.
• Confident, professional, and organized in communication.
• Willing to take personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Resourceful and self-motivated when acquiring new workflows.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable managing sensitive information.
• Previous experience supporting a chiropractic clinic, dealing with Cigna or Veterans Affairs claims, addressing EOB or billing backlogs, generating operational or billing reports, mentoring or training, and collaborating closely with a clinic owner, provider, or executive leader is a plus.
• Performance-based salary increase after 6 months.
• Remote work arrangement.
• 30 hours per week, with a Monday to Friday schedule.
