This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Verify patient insurance following check-in and accurately document insurance details.
• Analyze denied claims, identify reasons for denial, assist with reprocessing, and mitigate repeat issues.
• Review and manage Explanation of Benefits documents and address EOB backlogs.
• Resolve outstanding insurance balances and address patient account inquiries.
• Facilitate workflows for Cigna and Veterans Affairs claims.
• Coordinate vendor payments, including issuing checks when necessary.
• Oversee the completion, accuracy, and compliance of SOAP notes.
• Monitor missed and canceled appointments and analyze scheduling patterns.
• Generate reports on balances, appointments, EOB backlogs, denied claims, and operational metrics.
• Offer insights and actionable recommendations within reports.
• Manage communication among providers, care teams, and administrative personnel.
• Identify gaps in workflows, billing issues, documentation delays, scheduling challenges, and patient account matters.
• Suggest solutions aimed at enhancing clinic efficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience working with a US healthcare practice.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and a professional communication style.
• Must be proficient in Mac OS.
• High attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership, accountability, or ownership experience in previous roles.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Emotionally intelligent and patient when interacting with a busy provider.
• Confident, professional, and organized in communication.
• Capable of taking personal responsibility for designated tasks.
• Resourceful and self-driven when adapting to new workflows.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and comfortable handling sensitive information.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Flexible schedule limited to Monday–Friday, 6 hours per day.
