This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Confirm patient insurance during check-in and ensure that insurance details are accurate, updated, and documented.
• Analyze denied claims, determine reasons for denial, assist with claim reprocessing, and help prevent recurring errors.
• Examine and process Explanation of Benefits documents while addressing EOB backlogs.
• Resolve outstanding insurance balances and issues related to patient accounts.
• Facilitate claims workflows, including those related to Cigna and Veterans Affairs.
• Manage vendor payments, including issuing checks when necessary.
• Oversee the completion, accuracy, and compliance of SOAP notes.
• Monitor missed and canceled appointments, identifying scheduling patterns.
• Generate reports on balances, appointments, EOB backlogs, denied claims, and other operational metrics.
• Offer clear insights and actionable recommendations in reports when required.
• Coordinate communication between the provider, care team, and administrative personnel.
• Identify gaps in workflow, billing issues, documentation delays, scheduling problems, and patient account challenges.
• Suggest practical solutions to enhance clinic efficiency.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Background in supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong professional presence and communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• High attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous position.
• Proactive mindset, able to anticipate needs before being prompted.
• Highly detail-oriented regarding billing, documentation, and reporting tasks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Emotionally intelligent and patient when collaborating with a busy provider.
• Confident, professional, and organized in communication.
• Able to take personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Resourceful and self-motivated when acquiring new workflows.
• Trustworthy, dependable, and comfortable managing sensitive information.
• Prior experience supporting a chiropractic clinic is preferred.
• Familiarity with Cigna or Veterans Affairs claims is a plus.
• Experience in clearing EOB or billing backlogs is advantageous.
• Background in preparing operational or billing reports is beneficial.
• Experience mentoring, training, or supporting new team members is a plus.
• Prior collaboration with a clinic owner, provider, or executive-level leader is desirable.
• Performance-based salary increase after 6 months.
