This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Prepare and structure patient notes utilizing established templates and workflows.
• Transfer pertinent medical information into the necessary documentation.
• Review and organize medications, vital signs, and other clinical details.
• Assist in preparing notes for provider review.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation is maintained.
• Identify incomplete or unclear information for provider review.
• Complete assigned documentation within specified turnaround times.
• Organize patient-related files and records efficiently.
• Transfer information between approved systems as necessary.
• Provide assistance with recurring back-office medical documentation.
• Support booking or administrative tasks directly tied to clinical workflows.
• Adhere to client-provided documentation and compliance procedures.
• Complete mandatory client training modules.
• Acquire knowledge of the client's clinical applications and systems.
• Follow established protocols for note preparation.
• Uphold the confidentiality of patient information.
• Aim to complete prepared notes within 48–72 hours for provider review.
• Deliver task-specific remote services to clients within defined scopes of work.
• Report to a designated point of contact to be determined.
• Strongly preferred experience in medical, clinical, healthcare, or as a medical scribe.
• Strongly preferred background in executive or back-office roles.
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strongly preferred prior experience in documentation or medical records.
• Required strong typing and data-entry skills.
• Required strong attention to detail.
• Experience with EMRs/EHRs is an advantage.
• Required ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with HIPAA preferred; certification can be facilitated.
• Previous medical or healthcare experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is required.
• Required accuracy and efficiency in documentation.
• Comfort working independently once trained is essential.
• Ability to understand clinical context rather than merely copying data is necessary.
• Strong written English skills are required.
• Dependability with deadlines and recurring work is essential.
• Comfort with learning medical software and documentation systems is required.
• Training provided on EMR/EHR platforms.
• Knowledge of medical documentation systems is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace is required.
• Familiarity with email and calendar platforms is necessary.
• Contracted availability of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM PST.
• Ability to operate under a Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work as an independent contractor.
