Senior Medical Copywriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Transform intricate medical and scientific concepts into straightforward and succinct written content.

• Develop branded healthcare professional (HCP) campaign materials such as websites, detail aids, leave-behinds, and emails.

• Produce educational campaign materials for HCPs, including slide decks, invitations, workbooks, and additional collateral.

• Guide brand strategies and copy development with minimal oversight.

• Manage the editorial process from initial draft to final proof, ensuring precision and high quality.

• Collaborate with design, strategy, account, and project management teams.

• Guarantee that all content adheres to brand standards and complies with US regulatory and industry requirements.

• Contribute copy and strategic insights during client meetings.

• Handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Conduct research and generate content for proposals and pitch presentations.

• Remain informed about the latest trends in medical education and the US pharmaceutical sector.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate degree or PhD in a scientific discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in medical writing.

• Experience with healthcare professional pharmaceutical advertising agencies.

• Proficiency in claim development and substantiation.

• Willingness to work across various therapeutic areas and lifecycle stages, from pre-launch to brand maintenance.

• Strong skills in presentation and pitching.

• Clear understanding of FDA promotional regulations and the PhRMA Code regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.

• High proficiency with Veeva/PromoMats.

• Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and version control.

• Excellent time management skills in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments.

• Availability for work from 9am to 5pm within the US East Coast time zone.

• Comprehensive understanding of US regulations, including FDA promotional guidelines and the PhRMA Code on interactions with healthcare professionals.
