This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Cultivate and maintain relationships with both established and emerging external experts.
β’ Enhance AbbVie's scientific reputation with external experts.
β’ Address inquiries by supplying essential scientific and medical information to both external experts and internal stakeholders.
β’ Develop and uphold scientific knowledge for the effective dissemination of credible information to external experts and healthcare professionals.
β’ Engage in and follow up on investigator-initiated studies, clinical trials, and medical projects within the relevant therapeutic area.
β’ Offer scientific support and sustain relationships with external experts and academic institutions.
β’ Present credible scientific information to healthcare professionals, whether individually or in group settings.
β’ Assist in the selection of qualified healthcare professionals for research and collaborative lectures/meetings.
β’ Ensure the scientific and educational integrity of collaborative initiatives such as advisory boards, congresses, and symposiums.
β’ Attend pertinent scientific meetings and conferences, and prepare summaries of key data presented.
β’ Responsible for covering the Quebec territory.
β’ An advanced degree is required: Doctorate, PharmD, or MD.
β’ Relevant business experience with a strong understanding of the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
β’ Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is preferred.
β’ A background in Eye Care, Ophthalmology, or Gene Therapy is considered advantageous.
β’ Prior experience in a customer-facing role within the healthcare industry.
β’ Experience in presenting and/or interpreting scientific or clinical research publications.
β’ Familiarity with scientific methods applied to clinical research and current legislative/regulatory controls.
β’ A strong interest in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for the assigned therapeutic area/product and medical research as a whole.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
β’ Comfort with technology and various tools/systems for daily tasks.
β’ Approximately 50% travel is required.
β’ A valid driver's license and passport are necessary.
β’ Advanced English proficiency/fluency is essential.
β’ Ability to comprehend stakeholders' unmet needs, make impactful decisions, and integrate information into team engagement strategies in the field.
β’ Capability to coordinate scientific and medical engagement efforts across stakeholders within a single account.
β’ Deep understanding and execution of meaningful strategies and data-driven business decisions.
β’ Strong communication, collaboration, and incorporation of the perspectives of other field team members.
