This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +1 more state.
• Serve as the key scientific and clinical resource for Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, and other healthcare practitioners.
• Implement Amgen's Medical function and product strategy under the guidance of MSL Leadership to enhance patient outcomes.
• Dedicate the majority of time to peer-to-peer interactions with Opinion Leaders in obesity and related conditions, community healthcare providers, and PHDMs.
• Collaborate with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline.
• Relay clinical, outcomes, and economic data to PHDMs within designated IDNs and institutions.
• Connect external and internal stakeholders to expand Amgen’s influence and patient access.
• Conduct compliant, focused, and balanced scientific discussions.
• Assist with Amgen-sponsored research and may take on the role of study lead.
• Act as a liaison with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research.
• Offer field observations and insights to internal teams.
• Lead and support activities at congresses.
• Aid in speaker training and ensure that speakers are informed of new data.
• Lead or contribute to project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics.
• Collaborate compliantly across Amgen field roles to create a cohesive One Amgen experience.
• Manage administrative tasks and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules.
• Report to the Obesity MSL Field Director.
• Doctorate degree, or Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees will be considered).
• Preferred: Over 1 year of experience in Medical Affairs.
• Preferred: 4 or more years in a medically relevant field, including at least 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
• Expertise in Cardiometabolic and/or Obesity is preferred.
• Familiarity with the designated territory is preferred.
• Proven ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with external stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey scientific data.
• Commitment to maintaining and enhancing clinical/scientific knowledge and expertise with current data/information and healthcare trends.
