This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +4 more states.
• Serve as the primary scientific and clinical resource for Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, healthcare providers, and community healthcare providers.
• Implement the Amgen Medical function and product strategy as directed by MSL Leadership to enhance patient outcomes.
• Facilitate peer-to-peer interactions with Opinion Leaders in obesity and related conditions, as well as healthcare providers and PHDMs.
• Collaborate with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline.
• Convey scientific, clinical, outcomes, and economic data to PHDMs within designated IDNs and institutions.
• Connect external and internal stakeholders to broaden outreach and improve patient access.
• Conduct thorough scientific exchanges in alignment with MSL compliance standards.
• Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially take on the role of study lead.
• Serve as a liaison with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research.
• Provide field insights and observations to internal stakeholders.
• Lead and assist with congress activities.
• Facilitate speaker training and ensure speakers are knowledgeable about new data.
• Lead or participate in project teams that align with MSL strategies and tactics.
• Collaborate compliantly across Amgen field roles to create a unified One Amgen experience.
• Manage administrative tasks and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules.
• Continuously enhance clinical and scientific expertise with the latest data, information, and healthcare trends.
• Doctorate degree, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees may be considered).
• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Medical Affairs.
• Preferred: 4 or more years in a medically related field, including at least 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research; post-doctoral training may be counted.
• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Expertise in Cardiometabolic and/or Obesity-related fields.
• Familiarity with the designated territory.
• Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying scientific data.
• Maintain clinical and scientific acumen with up-to-date knowledge and healthcare trends.
• Capability to fulfill administrative duties and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules.
