This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Recognize medical needs related to diseases and products within a specific geographic area.

• Forge and nurture connections with Thought Leaders, Healthcare Providers, academic and community research figures, and access stakeholders.

• Engage in significant scientific dialogue through individual interactions, group presentations, and remote communication channels.

• Accurately and compliantly convey scientific information while addressing medical inquiries.

• Evaluate the medical landscape, stakeholder requirements, treatment methods, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, HEOR, and scientific endeavors.

• Discover opportunities for disease-state initiatives, collaborative research, and investigator-sponsored studies.

• Participate in medical congresses and local/regional meetings, sharing medical insights with medical and commercial organizations.

• Create geography-specific Field Medical and Thought Leader engagement strategies.

• Contribute to institution/account strategies and scientifically significant medical programs and initiatives.

• Work alongside cross-matrix field teams and offer scientific training and updates to internal stakeholders.

• Provide scientific assistance at promotional gatherings and engage in assigned congress events.

• Assist with interventional and non-interventional research studies, including site identification, feasibility assessments, patient recruitment, and discussions on safe and effective use.

• Facilitate submissions, execution, and follow-up for investigator-sponsored research.

• Ensure that investigators comprehend and implement pharmacovigilance protocols, alerting BMS personnel to any adverse events.

• Support CRO-sponsored research as agreed upon with the home office medical and Global Development Operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in medical/biosciences (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP, PA-C, etc.).

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an MSL or in clinical practice.

• Current MSL or clinical practice experience in the fields of psychiatry, mental health, or schizophrenia.

• Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining effective collegial relationships with external experts.

• In-depth knowledge of the disease area, scientific literature, clinical or scientific disciplines, competitive landscape, and treatment trends for patients.

• Familiarity with clinical trial design and methodology.

• Understanding of the national healthcare and access environment.

• Acquainted with core concepts of HEOR.

• Excellent proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.

• Capable of working independently while also being a cooperative team member.

• Ability to interpret scientific or clinical data into accessible and valuable formats.

• Strong communication and presentation skills tailored for research or healthcare professionals.

• Experience in cultivating peer-to-peer relationships with Thought Leaders, scientists, and community-based healthcare providers.

• Quick and thorough learning ability in new subject areas and environments.

• Must be able to operate a company-provided vehicle.

• A responsible and safe driving history is required.

• Must reside within the managed territory or within 50 miles of its borders.

• Travel is necessary.
