This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +5 more states.
• Cultivate robust relationships with key opinion leaders while assisting Orca Bio in executing its scientific and clinical strategy for innovative allogeneic cell therapies.
• Act as a subject matter expert in stem cell transplantation, cell therapy, and cellular immunotherapy.
• Identify, establish, and sustain scientific peer-to-peer connections with academic professionals, thought leaders, healthcare practitioners, and access stakeholders.
• Develop and uphold a territory management strategy.
• Assist in onboarding processes for treatment centers, including adverse event reporting, out-of-spec product management, and local payer medical education.
• Stay informed about hematologic malignancies, stem cell transplantation, cell therapy, cellular immunotherapy, and industry developments.
• Evaluate the transplant and cell therapy environment to identify scientific trends, evidence gaps, and research possibilities.
• Oversee Orca Bio's Investigator-Sponsored Trial program, encompassing research concepts, proposal and protocol creation, review committee presentations, governance communications, study oversight, publication planning, and results dissemination.
• Collect and relay scientific insights and stakeholder feedback to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Offer scientific and clinical expertise during advisory boards, investigator meetings, roundtables, educational gatherings, professional organizations, advocacy groups, GPOs, networked practices, and speaker bureaus.
• Assist with clinical trial initiatives, patient recruitment, enrollment, and the safe and effective administration of investigational products while adhering to GCP and ethical and regulatory standards.
• Lead the collection, analysis, synthesis, and sharing of scientific information from congresses and scientific exchanges.
• Convert clinical trial data, competitive intelligence, and stakeholder feedback into strategic recommendations.
• Provide support for health outcomes, real-world evidence, and payer/provider engagement strategies.
• Execute projects that align with scientific, clinical, and business operations in collaboration with research, clinical development, commercial, market access, regulatory, and quality teams.
• Train and educate commercial marketing and sales teams on therapies and disease states.
• An advanced clinical degree in a life-science or basic-science field (MD, DO, PharmD, NP, PA, DNP, M.Sc, or Ph.D.) along with industry experience as an MSL.
• Extensive clinical and/or industry background in malignant hematology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), cellular therapy, CAR-T, immune effector cell therapies, and/or other advanced therapeutic modalities.
• In-depth knowledge of the cell therapy ecosystem, including transplant center operations, apheresis and cell processing workflows, treatment center authorization, patient referral pathways, and competitive cell therapy products.
• Comprehensive understanding of clinical development, regulatory requirements, and commercial strategies; experience with HEOR data is an advantage.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to interpret and present complex scientific data to varied audiences.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a solution-focused mindset.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience as an MSL (preferred experience).
• Proven experience in field medical launch planning, execution, and post-launch support.
• Direct experience supporting cell therapy, stem cell transplantation, CAR-T, or other advanced therapeutic platforms.
