This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the designated territory that aligns with the Medical Affairs objectives, medical goals, and sanctioned medical resources.
• Build and nurture professional relationships with key opinion leaders in both community and academic settings.
• Facilitate high-quality, reciprocal scientific dialogues with healthcare professionals.
• Gather, analyze, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-specific information.
• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, boost efficiency, and improve outcomes.
• Track competitor activities and integrate evidence-based clinical context into engagement strategies and discussions.
• Present scientific data through tailored presentations and discussions that cater to the needs of healthcare professionals.
• Identify challenges or gaps in needs and suggest evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.
• Provide timely, high-quality actionable insights that inform medical strategies and cross-functional dialogues.
• Address unsolicited inquiries related to J&J products and research.
• Assist investigators and internal partners with both company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
• Collaborate with MSL field colleagues, R&D, U.S. and Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
• Keep scientific knowledge up-to-date through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, conferences, and discussions with peers.
• Promote an environment of inclusion and belonging.
• Stay informed about regulatory guidelines, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, and Medical Affairs policies.
• Develop and execute a performance and development plan in coordination with the Field Director.
• Accurately and compliantly complete administrative documentation and expense reporting.
• A Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).
• Doctoral level candidates must have postgraduate experience, with a preference for clinical experience in a therapeutic area.
• Comprehensive scientific and/or therapeutic expertise is essential.
• Knowledge of research and/or healthcare systems is required.
• Strong skills in data collection and analysis, clinical knowledge, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape assessment.
• Must be able to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory engagements and attendance at internal meetings and congresses.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is necessary, ideally in an MSL capacity.
• Preferably, candidates should have over 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area.
• Completion of a residency or fellowship is preferred.
• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.
• A demonstrated commitment to learning about emerging technologies, such as AI, is essential.
