This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Establish and cultivate professional, trusting relationships with external experts within designated therapeutic areas and geographical locations.

• Engage in balanced, peer-to-peer scientific discussions with external experts regarding AbbVie products throughout their lifecycle.

• Participate in scientific exchanges concerning pertinent disease-state topics.

• Provide credible scientific presentations to external experts and healthcare professionals.

• Facilitate the collection and reporting of medical and scientific field intelligence, encompassing competitor insights, new developments, and educational initiatives.

• Involve investigators in AbbVie clinical studies, which includes identifying investigators, conducting study-initiation training, and providing scientific support.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address unsolicited investigator-initiated study requests and manage related communications.

• Address unsolicited inquiries for off-label information while promoting the safe, effective, and appropriate use of AbbVie medicines.

• Assist with named-patient or compassionate-use requests for AbbVie medicines when legally permissible and requested.

• Support research and educational projects at key academic institutions.

• Ensure all activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, AbbVie policies, and best practices.

• Maintain up-to-date scientific knowledge regarding AbbVie products, therapeutic areas, disease states, and the competitive landscape.

• Develop and implement territory external-expert engagement strategies in collaboration with internal colleagues.

• Work alongside in-field teams to meet scientific and medical needs.

• Act as a scientific resource for internal AbbVie functions, including Commercial partners, in accordance with compliance policies.

• Conduct scientific training sessions for sales, marketing, and brand teams.

• Attend scientific meetings and conferences, compiling summaries of key data with internal colleagues.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree in health sciences or a clinical discipline is required.

• A doctorate-level degree (i.e., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD) is necessary.

• Candidates with an undergraduate degree and substantial relevant experience may be considered.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience, or equivalent, is strongly preferred.

• A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape and the role of Medical Affairs is preferred.

• Experience in a Medical Science Liaison (or similar) role with a proven track record is preferred.

• Proficiency in interpreting clinical data and effectively communicating key elements of the data and their implications for practice/patients.

• Capacity to quickly acquire knowledge about new subject areas and environments.

• Experience in developing and sustaining expert knowledge in the assigned therapeutic area and in medical research broadly.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation capabilities in both the local language and English are preferred.

• Ability to cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team within a matrix environment.

• A comprehensive understanding of the local healthcare environment.

• Proficiency in managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel frequently within the designated geographical area, and occasionally on a national or international level.
