Medical Science Liaison – Oncology/Hematology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Participate in non-promotional scientific discussions with medical experts.

• Establish enduring scientific partnerships with hospitals, centers, and networks.

• Evaluate the regional therapeutic landscape to pinpoint scientific inquiries and medical requirements.

• Determine priorities for territory planning.

• Collect and scientifically contextualize Medical and Field Insights, integrating them into the medical strategy.

• Facilitate the introduction of innovative treatment options from a medical-scientific viewpoint.

• Initiate and oversee medical-scientific projects.

• Assist with clinical studies, research initiatives, and collaboration with selected centers.

• Organize Medical Education activities, professional presentations, Advisory Boards, and formats for scientific exchange.

• Represent AbbVie at medical congresses.

• Collaborate closely with Medical colleagues and relevant in-field functions.

• Uphold medical independence and adhere to applicable regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed university degree in medicine or a life science.

• A PhD is preferred.

• Ideally, prior professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or in Medical Affairs as a Medical Science Liaison.

• Preferred scientific expertise in oncology, hemato-oncology, or solid tumors.

• Capability to critically evaluate complex clinical data and communicate it effectively.

• Experience in executing scientific projects.

• Confident communication skills in clinical, scientific, and cross-functional settings.

• Proficiency in both German and English.

• Willingness to travel.
