📋 Description

• Collaborate with aspiring medical school candidates and pre-med students to help them discover opportunities to enhance their profiles and create persuasive medical school application documents.

• Cultivate relationships with applicants and their families, offering both strategic and tactical advice on medical school choices, essays, resumes, letters of recommendation, interviews, and the comprehensive medical school admissions process.

• Identify the most suitable medical programs and schools for each student; provide constructive feedback and guidance regarding their research on university programs and relevant admissions resources, ensuring alignment with the student’s background and career ambitions.

• Assist students in project planning, managing application timelines, and tracking progress through internal organizational tools.

• Remain informed about the medical school admissions landscape, including program prerequisites and admissions standards, to counsel prospective and current clients on suitable school selections and the intricacies of the application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a residency program (MD or DO).

• Graduated from an accredited U.S. medical school.

• Prior experience on a medical school admissions committee, which includes reviewing applications and participating in decisions regarding acceptance and rejection.

• A strong enthusiasm for mentoring and coaching pre-med students.

• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.

• Proficient English reading, writing, and editing skills, especially in crafting medical school essays and personal statements.

• Strong verbal communication capabilities.

• Expertise in project management and applicant tracking.

• Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, or mentoring students.
