Medical Licensing Specialist – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Oversee the initial state license applications for RNs, NPs, MDs, and DOs across all 50 states, taking responsibility for each application from submission to approval.

• Collaborate with providers to gather necessary documentation, including primary source verifications, CEU records, and background checks.

• Liaise with state medical and nursing boards to address application issues, respond to inquiries, and facilitate expedited approvals whenever possible.

• Stay updated on state-specific licensure requirements, processing timelines, and any regulatory changes.

• Utilize Verifiable to manage provider profiles, monitor license statuses, and create compliance reports for internal stakeholders.

• Ensure that licensing data is accurately recorded and maintained in the credentialing system of record.

• Actively identify and escalate issues to avert delays in provider readiness.

• Manage a live queue of over 60 licenses at any given time.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Licensing and Credentialing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare licensing, credentialing, or a closely related field.

• Hands-on experience in processing state licenses for RNs, NPs, MDs, and/or DOs.

• Understanding of multi-state licensing requirements and the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).

• Strong organizational abilities to manage a high volume of concurrent applications.

• Exceptional attention to detail and consistent follow-through on tasks driven by deadlines.

• Experience with Verifiable or similar credentialing platforms (preferred).

• Background in a telehealth, virtual care, or multi-state provider organization (preferred).

• Familiarity with state-specific licensing requirements.

• Ability to work 40 hours per week.

• Role involves managing licensing for Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, MDs, and DOs.
