This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture client relationships by collecting project requirements and relaying technical information.

• Assist in the execution of consulting projects, which includes planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

• Record design decisions, directives from clients, and the progress of project design.

• Evaluate low- to moderate-complexity engineering tasks and work alongside senior engineers and consultants to develop effective solutions.

• Engage in IMEG's quality control processes.

• Keep abreast of trends, technologies, and best practices in the medical equipment industry.

• Contribute to initiatives in research, development, and innovation.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, clinicians, and cross-disciplinary teams.

• Perform equipment assessments and inventories, assess equipment for potential reuse, and log equipment details in the MEQ database.

• Facilitate MEQ user meetings to finalize equipment lists and placement drawings, secure user approval, and provide updated lists and cost estimates.

• Achieve owner acceptance for final submissions and prepare cost estimates, MEQ documentation, project memos, narratives, and letters.

• Create procurement schedules and draft MEQ specifications for bid evaluations.

• Suggest equipment options to assist in purchasing decisions.

• Support healthcare clients by aligning medical equipment planning with the design needs of facilities.

• Incorporate utility requirements and spatial considerations for medical equipment into design processes.

• Collaborate with IMEG’s Healthcare Information Technology group to enhance connected care and clinical workflows.

• Work across various healthcare settings, from community hospitals and clinics to academic medical centers and specialized treatment facilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in building design or the medical equipment consulting sector.

• Familiarity with functions of hospital and clinic departments.

• Developing expertise in design techniques, tools, and concepts necessary for creating technical plans and specifications.

• Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including knowledge of principles related to Medical Equipment.

• Familiarity with industry-standard medical equipment software and tools such as 4Tower, Attainia, and Bluebeam.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment.

• Attention to detail and proficient problem-solving skills.

• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges.

• Developing proficiency in Building Information Modeling software.

• Ability to convey information clearly in both oral and written formats to individuals or groups.

• Proficient in the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% with overnight stays.
