Medical Director – Rheumatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead medical initiatives within project teams.

• Steer strategic direction and decision-making processes.

• Provide expert medical and scientific guidance utilizing therapeutic knowledge to enhance project development.

• Contribute to protocol creation and modifications.

• Analyze data to ensure alignment across efficacy evaluations.

• Conduct BILAG and MDAAT grading for each organ system, if relevant.

• Educate study teams on protocol-specific efficacy tools.

• Assist with start-up tasks including site selection and setup.

• Execute data analysis and close-out procedures.

• Engage with clients and participate in client meetings as needed to support and foster new business opportunities.

• Take part in developing both new and existing business ventures.

• Carry out additional tasks as required to support project or team needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD).

• Completion of a formal rheumatology fellowship.

• Board certification or specialization.

• Preferred expertise in SLE.

• Desired extensive experience with global clinical trials.

• Required substantial experience in CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical settings including project leadership and collaboration with therapeutic and medical experts.

• Capability to present to and train global audiences.

• Familiarity with clinical data management systems or electronic data capture software; RAVE and eLAS knowledge is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in computerized information systems and standard application software (Windows, MS Office).

• Ability to perform duties at a high standard with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based.
