Medical Director – Radiation Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case reviews for medical necessity utilizing EviCore’s case management software.

• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers.

• Evaluate evidence-based medical necessity and the appropriateness of requested services or treatments.

• Suggest alternative services or treatments as needed.

• Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues at EviCore to facilitate evidence-based decision-making and optimal patient care.

• Complete a structured remote training program alongside trainers, mentors, and leadership.

• Remain informed on healthcare regulations and industry advancements.

• Review a diverse range of cases and work in partnership with healthcare providers.


⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with an active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Radiation Oncology.

• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as necessary.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience following residency or fellowship.

• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards is advantageous.

• Willingness to adhere to a consistent weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).

• Proficient computer skills: ability to operate independently with automated processes, applications, and systems.

• Capacity to type, speak, and listen continuously.

• Company-provided encrypted workstation must be hard-wired to a modem or router; wireless connections are not allowed.

• Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload is required for remote work.
