This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform time-sensitive, specialized, evidence-based medical case reviews for medical necessity utilizing EviCore’s case management software.
• Facilitate physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers.
• Evaluate evidence-based medical necessity and the appropriateness of requested services or treatments.
• Suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.
• Collaborate with a network of over 500 EviCore physician colleagues.
• Promote high-quality patient care through evidence-based decision-making.
• Remain updated on healthcare regulations and industry advancements.
• Complete structured remote training with trainers, mentors, and leadership.
• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license and board certification (ABMS or AOA) in Radiation Oncology.
• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws, Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards is advantageous.
• Willingness to adhere to a consistent weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).
• Strong computer skills and the ability to work independently with automated processes, computer applications, and systems.
• Capable of typing, speaking, and listening 100% of the time.
• Company-provided encrypted workstation must be connected via hard-wire to a modem or router; wireless connections are not allowed.
• Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload is required.
