This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform time-sensitive, specialized evidence-based medical case evaluations for medical necessity using EviCore’s case management software.
• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) discussions with referring providers.
• Evaluate evidence-based medical necessity and the appropriateness of requested services or treatments.
• Suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.
• Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues at EviCore to enhance evidence-based decision-making and ensure proper patient care.
• Participate in remote training within a structured environment alongside trainers, mentors, and leadership.
• Remain informed about healthcare regulations and industry advancements.
• M.D. or D.O. with an active, current medical license from a U.S. state.
• Board certified in PM&R, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.
• Eligible to obtain additional state licensure as required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience following residency/fellowship.
• Familiarity with applicable state and federal laws.
• Knowledge of Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards is advantageous.
• Willingness to adhere to a fixed, weekly work schedule (Monday through Friday).
• Proficient computer skills: capable of working independently with automated processes, computer applications, and systems.
• Ability to type, speak, and listen continuously during work hours.
• Company-provided encrypted workstation connected via a hard wire to a modem or router; wireless connections are not allowed.
• Access to cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed if working remotely.
