Medical Director, Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of medical affairs across the entire portfolio, establishing benchmarks and cultivating the team.

• Deliver strategic medical leadership and support to project teams.

• Provide expert medical and scientific advice throughout all phases of project lifecycles.

• Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in medical and safety monitoring activities.

• Analyze medical data regarding indications, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and other medical considerations to meet project objectives.

• Act as a representative of the Medical Affairs Department in business development efforts, investigator meetings, and project initiation meetings.

• Offer operational oversight within the Medical Affairs Department as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a specialization in Neurology is mandatory.

• Must be Board Certified in Neurology.

• A proven history of medical leadership and consultation within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology industries, or CRO sector is preferred.

• Strong comprehension of regulatory demands and ethical standards in clinical research.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively represent the department.

• Proven capability to manage operations in the absence of senior management.

• Experience in phase II-III studies, either in a corporate setting or as an investigator, is highly preferred.

• Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 10%).

• Must have the legal right to work in the country where the position is located.
