This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute time-sensitive, specialized reviews of medical cases based on evidence for medical necessity using EviCore’s case management software.
• Engage in physician consultation (peer-to-peer) calls with referring providers to discuss evidence-based medical necessity and the appropriateness of the requested services or treatments.
• Suggest alternative services or treatments when necessary.
• Conduct virtual rounds with the designated team of nurses.
• Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues at EviCore to enhance evidence-based care decisions.
• Participate in structured remote training sessions with trainers, mentors, and leadership.
• Remain updated on healthcare regulations and industry advancements.
• M.D. or D.O. with a valid, active medical license from a U.S. state.
• Board certification in Primary Care (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine), Emergency Medicine, or PM&R Medicine, as recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
• Eligibility to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Knowledge of Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and National Committee for Quality Assurance standards is advantageous.
• Ability to adhere to a fixed weekly work schedule from Monday to Friday.
• Proficient computer skills and capability to work independently with automated systems and computer applications.
• Must be able to type, speak, and listen 100% of the time.
• Company-provided encrypted workstation must be hard-wired to a modem or router; wireless connections are not permitted.
• Home internet must be through cable broadband or fiber optic service, with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
