Medical Billing Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze medical claims.

• Identify patients while confirming exams conducted, ordering physicians or non-physician practitioners, and associated documents.

• Examine ETech Logs and Manual Tech Logs to ensure patient accuracy.

• Validate specified fields on patient claims by utilizing medical records.

• Revise patient and insurance information as necessary.

• Reach out to clients to gather any missing information.

• Communicate with insurance companies to secure pre-authorizations.

• Stay updated on medical billing standards and federal regulations.

• Participate in cross-training across five billing work queues: MBI Medicare, Missing Payor, Billing, Dr Mobilex, and MBI Replacement Plan.

• Attend and engage in departmental meetings.

• Work overtime as required to achieve departmental objectives.

• Execute additional assigned tasks to support organizational aims.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Intermediate customer service capabilities.

• Capability to review and assess medical claims.

• Ability to verify patient, physician, exam, and supporting document details.

• Familiarity with CPT books and ICD-10 materials.

• Understanding of federal regulations and pertinent billing guidelines.

• Ability to cross-train in five billing work queues.

• Willingness to work necessary overtime as required.
