Medical Bill Review Supervisor – Working Supervisor, Legal Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations of bill review while engaging in intricate case evaluations.

• Supervise a small team of bill reviewers and manage a production workload concentrating on high-value, complex medical bill review/legal cases.

• Ensure precision in recognizing excessive or unsupported charges and establishing fair reimbursement amounts.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for legal matters and deliver forensic billing analyses.

• Perform quality control audits on team output and pinpoint areas for training improvement.

• Serve as the internal administrator/expert for Medical Bill Review software.

• Guarantee the correct application of fee schedules, line-item audits, CCI edits, and clinical validation rules.

• Provide credible and articulate deposition and trial testimony.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5–7 years of substantial, hands-on experience in Medical Bill Review.

• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory, team-leading, or senior mentoring role.

• Documented experience in delivering legal services, expert witness reports, or trial testimony concerning the reasonableness of medical bills and UCR value analysis.

• Advanced knowledge of major industry-standard bill review platforms (e.g., Conduent/StrataCare, Mitchell/Enlyte, Medata, CompIQ or similar).

• Located in Texas (highly preferred) or having significant experience testifying specifically within the Texas court system and applying Texas statutory fee schedules.

• Active industry certification is mandatory (e.g., CPC, CCS).
