Medicaid Data & Analytics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct analysis of Medicaid claims, encounters, enrollment, eligibility, provider, or program data.

• Evaluate utilization, expenditures, access to care, and program results.

• Clean, validate, and document datasets effectively.

• Create performance metrics, dashboards, and regular reports.

• Detect trends, data quality concerns, and areas for enhancement.

• Assist in program evaluation and operational analysis.

• Clarify analytical methods, assumptions, and limitations.

• Present findings in a clear manner to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

• Adhere to applicable privacy, security, and data management regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in analyzing Medicaid or closely related healthcare data.

• Strong analytical capabilities and a keen focus on data quality.

• Proficiency in relevant tools such as Excel, SQL, SAS, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau; mastery of every tool is not necessary.

• Ability to articulate findings clearly and relate them to program decisions.

• Experience in documenting analytical processes so that others can comprehend and review them.

• Preferred: Experience in Medicaid claims or encounter data analysis.

• Preferred: Involvement with state Medicaid agency or managed care reporting.

• Preferred: Background in quality measurement, cost analysis, risk adjustment, or program evaluation.

• Preferred: Experience with large healthcare datasets and secure analytical environments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with T-MSIS or other Medicaid data sources.
