Mechanical Team Lead – RISE LPT Nozzles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design mechanical solutions for designated low-pressure turbine components that meet program specifications.

• Collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams including thermal, aero, and systems design.

• Relay design risks to stakeholders to promote informed decision-making.

• Develop innovative solutions for specific hardware and the complete module.

• Lead and finalize design reviews, drawing submissions, quality standards, and assembly evaluations.

• Guide and support engineers in design reviews, drawing submissions, quality standards, assembly evaluations, and other related tasks.

• Propose advancements in technology and advise on methods or initiatives to achieve them.

• Assist in the maturation of next-generation low-pressure turbine technology and support ground and flight engine demonstration projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in an engineering field with practical experience in mechanical design.

• Proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges successfully.

• Capacity to collaborate within cross-functional global teams in diverse cultural settings.

• Established capability to advance technology and create innovative solutions.

• Proficiency in English.

• Experience in the gas turbine or aviation sector, particularly in mechanical design for components like rotors, airfoils, and structures.

• Expertise in Finite Element Analysis (e.g., Ansys).

• Proficient in 2D/3D modeling of mechanical components (e.g., NX/Teamcenter).
