This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.
• Manage and oversee mechanical teams, contractors, and technicians on-site for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans to ensure correct installation and adherence to design objectives.
• Perform on-site inspections of mechanical work, including testing, commissioning, and performance verification of systems.
• Ensure compliance with local building, mechanical, and fire codes, as well as environmental regulations.
• Facilitate permit approvals and regulatory inspections in coordination with local authorities and inspection agencies.
• Create progress reports, inspection summaries, and status updates for project management and clients.
• Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure OSHA compliance in mechanical work environments.
• Identify and address mechanical system issues, design conflicts, and installation obstacles.
• Coordinate and supervise mechanical subcontractors to ensure quality of work and adherence to schedules.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, warranties, and as-built conditions.
• Engage in system startup, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Liaise with building owners, facility managers, and end users regarding the operation of mechanical systems.
• At least 5+ years of mechanical supervision experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems design and installation.
• Commissioning experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local mechanical codes, building codes, and inspection standards.
• Proven capability to prepare clear and detailed reports for various stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting field inspections and quality control activities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple mechanical contractors.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education is preferred.
• An Associate Engineer License (at minimum) is preferred.
• Professional licenses such as PE or contractor's license are advantageous.
• Experience with BIM/3D modeling coordination is preferred.
