This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Provide exceptional mechanical services to improve machine functionality and enhance the customer experience.
• Ensure that mechanical systems meet customer expectations.
• Address and resolve mechanical machine issues in the field promptly when feasible.
• Keep customers updated regarding resolution strategies and potential expenses.
• Conduct mechanical installation, commissioning, testing, integration, optimization, maintenance, and repair at customer sites.
• Install, inspect, and maintain sprockets, chains, belts, shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, rollers, frames, and guarding.
• Analyze, assess, and diagnose mechanical equipment while troubleshooting machine issues until resolved.
• Carry out preventative, pre-season, and post-season servicing of machines.
• Improve ongoing machine performance.
• Provide updates to customers and inform sales leadership of potential sales opportunities or customer inquiries.
• Maintain strong relationships with the customer care centre team and offer regular updates.
• Address or escalate customer complaints, ensuring timely, clear, and professional resolution or investigation.
• Foster a “Safety first” culture throughout the company, with customers and in the industry.
• An industrial trade qualification in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, electronic, automation, or industrial manufacturing is preferred, or an equivalent degree/diploma.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a field service engineer or equivalent education.
• Relevant experience in troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Proficient in PC building, repair, and diagnostic testing.
• Familiarity with PC and MS Office suite is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations.
• Capability to solve practical problems.
• Experience with packaging and/or printing machinery is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude with a strong customer service focus.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service delivery setting.
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 kg regularly.
• Must be able to distinguish the full range of colors in the color spectrum.
• No significant food allergies that would hinder work around food, nuts, fruits, and vegetables.
• Ability to work in food processing plants, farms, cold storage facilities, and outdoors in varying temperatures.
• Willingness and capacity to work overtime as requested.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 40% of the time.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to drive without restrictions.
• Must be eligible to obtain a valid passport for travel.
