This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee the development, continuous design, execution, and administration of Oyster’s Internal Prevention Service in Spain.
• Conduct assessments of workplace and occupational risks.
• Examine work-related incidents and occupational health issues.
• Address intricate Spain-specific Health & Safety inquiries, tickets, and escalations.
• Prepare health and safety reports and conduct safety evaluations.
• Advise the organization on protective strategies.
• Offer guidance and representation during Labor Inspection visits.
• Manage relationships with HSE vendors in Spain.
• Collaborate on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices tailored for a remote work setting.
• Spearhead global Health & Safety audits and inspections.
• Support Health & Safety committees on a global scale.
• Perform remote global risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate and document incidents and accidents worldwide.
• Monitor international regulations and incorporate safety measures into remote work practices.
• Oversee global HSE vendor relationships, including lifecycle management, performance, KPIs/SLAs, governance, reviews, documentation, and offboarding.
• Address vendor-related escalations and facilitate root-cause analyses.
• Evaluate vendor performance, feedback, and trends, utilizing AI and automation where applicable.
• Create H&S content, documentation, and knowledge resources.
• Provide training and support to internal stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional H&S projects alongside the Director of People Services and other teams.
• Audit and refine workflows to enhance response times and service quality.
• Analyze recurring ticket trends and develop preventative resources.
• Extensive technical knowledge of Spain’s occupational risk prevention regulations.
• Proven background in establishing or managing an Internal Prevention Service (Servicio de Prevención Propio).
• Experience or a strong comfort level in supporting health and safety frameworks across various countries or regions, including EMEA, APAC, LATAM, and AMER.
• A pragmatic and commercially minded approach to compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, including managing escalations, advising senior leadership, and training internal teams.
• Demonstrated success in independently driving cross-functional H&S initiatives from concept to implementation.
• Significant experience in sourcing and implementing HSE and compliance vendors.
• A bachelor's or university degree in environmental health, safety, engineering, or a related field.
• A Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Profesionales) with all three specializations.
• Full proficiency in English (C1 level or higher).
• Reliable home internet connection or the ability to secure one.
• Must reside in Spain.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the country of residence.
• Official accreditation as a Senior Health & Safety Technician is required in the application process.
• Experience with Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology alongside Safety at Work.
• Experience managing Health & Safety programs and vendors outside of Spain.
